The Sikorsky Heritage Center was dedicated on June 30, 1999. It is located in the Administration Lobby at the Sikorsky Aircraft Stratford plant.
On display is memorabilia of the many creative years of Igor Sikorsky's life. Items from the Russian period, such as his first pilot's license and passport used to first enter America. Mr. Sikorsky's famed fedora worn during the test flights of the amphibian clipper ships and the VS-300 helicopter development. Also displayed are models and paintings of Sikorsky airplanes, flying boats and helicopters.
Sikorsky Archives members who are not employed at Sikorsky Aircraft are invited to visit the Sikorsky Heritage Center. Admission will be granted by presenting your Igor Sikorsky Historical Archives membership card to the Administration Lobby Security Officer during normal working hours.
